Hasan (حسن)means “beautiful”, “handsome”, “goodly”, “gentle”, “good-mannered”, “virtuous”. It is derived from the H6-S-N root which is common in the Quran. Hasan is a common name among Muslims out of love for Hasan bin Ali, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah upon him and his family and companions. Also a categorization of a hadith's authenticity as "acceptable".
