Aminah bint Wahab ( )(???-577) was the mother of the Islamic prophet Muhammad.
Biography
She was a member of the Banu Zuhrah clan.
She was the daughter of Wahb ibn `Abd Manaf, and was married to Abdallah ibn Abd al-Muttalib. There are also texts which claim that Aminah bint Wahb died in a trip to Medina while she took Muhammad to meet his uncles and to see the grave of his father. Aminah died in 577 and was buried in Al-Abwa - the grave site was rediscovered in 1998.
